WebCentral's SMS gateway can even track SMS text messages sent from your Outlook, so that you will receive the SMS text message reply in your Inbox.
With the SMS Reminder functionality, when you enter an appointment or meeting into your Outlook Calendar you can request an SMS text message alert to be sent to your mobile phone before the event to remind you of the time and location of the meeting.
This product can support Microsoft Outlook 97, 98, 2000 and XP.

How do I sign up for Outlook SMS? - Access DeskControl: DeskControl is a free intranet product that comes standard with all of our hosting and mail packages. If you are already a customer, you will need to access DeskControl to set up Outlook SMS. Login to DeskControl using your e-mail address as the user name and your e-mail password as the DeskControl password.
- Purchase SMS credits in DeskControl: Once you have accessed DeskControl, you will need to purchase SMS credits for use with Outlook SMS. Select 'Outlook SMS' from the 'Messages' menu and then click on the 'Purchase credits' option. Each SMS credit is AUD$0.05 and to send an SMS text message costs 5 credits (effectively AUD$0.25 per SMS text message sent). SMS credits are purchased online using a credit card. SMS credits are purchased in bulk and can be transferred to other e-mail accounts. If you have forgotten your DeskControl login details, you can request these from the DeskControl login page.
- Enable Outlook SMS: In DeskControl, you can register to use Outlook SMS by selecting 'Outlook SMS' from the 'Messages' menu. On this page, you will be directed to register via Mission Control (you will need your Mission Control login details) or you can e-mail your DeskControl Administrator to request that Outlook SMS be enabled on your DeskControl account. If you register via Mission Control, you will need to select 'User mailboxes' from the 'Mailboxes' menu and 'Edit' each mailbox that you wish to enable Outlook SMS on. Once you have selected 'Edit' on a given mailbox, you then click on the 'Outlook SMS Add On' under 'General Settings' and then complete the required information and read the terms and conditions for this product.
- Download Outlook SMS: An e-mail will be sent to each mailbox that you have enabled Outlook SMS on. This e-mail will include a registration code and a link to the Outlook SMS page in DeskControl. Click on the link in the e-mail and download the Outlook SMS option that is most appropriate for your current e-mail program. This product can support Microsoft Outlook 97, 98, 2000 and XP. A version will soon be also available for Microsoft Outlook Express and Lotus Notes. Finally, you will receive a confirmation e-mail when Outlook SMS has been successfully set up. You will be sending SMS text messages straight from your Outlook in no time!
Notes - To utilise Outlook SMS, you must have DeskControl enabled on your account.
- To utilise Outlook SMS, your e-mail does not have to be currently hosted by WebCentral. Migration of your existing mail can also be arranged.
